If you visit The Gadgeteer on a regular basis, you already know that we like to review wallets. As a matter of fact, Andy J. just posted a wallet review yesterday. I personally enjoy using minimalist wallets and thought I’d share my top 5 favorite minimalist wallets with you today.
IDENTITY Card wallet
This one is my current favorite because it has the smallest form factor while still allowing me to very easily retrieve and reinsert cards. The cutout on each side allows you to use your thumb to slide the cards out of the slot.
The IDENTITY Card wallet fits in the front pocket of whatever pants I happen to be wearing without adding any bulk. It’s also made of carbon fiber so it’s extremely lightweight.
The only small downside is that it doesn’t hold cash. But that doesn’t bother me because I very rarely use cash these days.

Trayvax Summit wallet
This one was my favorite before the IDENTITY wallet came along. Like the IDENTITY, The Trayvax is barely larger than the credit cards it holds. This one also has a few extra features including a lanyard or carabiner loop attachment point, RFID resistance, and it can hold a few folded bills or a key.

Col. Littleton Front Pocket Wallet
This wallet combines two things that I love. Minimalist design and leather. I carry this wallet when I definitely need to have a little cash with me. It has a little bit larger form factor that the two wallets above, but not by a lot. It’s made extremely well and just feels great in my hand.

Machine Era Ti5 Slim Wallet
Here’s another ultra minimalist wallet. This one is made of Titanium and features an elastic band that holds a stack of up to 6 cards in place. It’s basically just a tray with curved sides and has zero frills. That’s not a bad thing though. It’s lightweight, will last longer than you will and it can carry a few folded dollar bills.

Walter Wallet
This wallet is the most unique wallet of the five wallets that I’ve listed in this article. What makes it so unique? It has a cool card eject feature that lets the cards rest in a staggered stack for easy viewing and retrieval.
The only down-side for me is that it’s a bit on the thick side. But if they offered one without the attached cash section, it would give the IDENTITY wallet a real run for its money as my favorite minimalist wallet.
