Touch Turn wooden remote, charging headphone case, expanding duffel bag and more – Notable crowdfunding campaigns

This week we have five Kickstarter campaigns that include two travel products, two home products, and an accessory for your phone. Click through to read this week’s list of crowdfunding projects that have caught my eye.

Turn Touch – Beautiful Control

What is it?
Turn Touch is a programmable four button remote control made of Mahogany and Maple, Padauk and Satinwood, or Rosewood and Sycamore.

Why do I like it?
I like the Turn Touch remote because it doesn’t look like your typical boring plastic remote control. Instead, it’s made of wood and uses magnets to hold the pieces together. It’s also programmable, so you can choose what each button does. But the cool thing is that you actually have 32 buttons that can be programmed. Eight commands for four different controller schemes/apps. Holding down each button on the Touch Turn remote changes the mode to a different app like Nest, iTunes, or Phillip’s Hue lights. Then the four buttons have actions for one press or a double press that perform different commands for that app/device until you hold another button down to switch to a different app.

With 29 days left in their campaign, The Turn Touch campaign is just getting started on working towards their funding goal of $25,000. You can pre-order a Turn Touch starting at $59. After the Turn Touch campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in November 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

TAB | the world’s most versatile convertible bag.

What is it?
TAB is a bag that converts from a small duffel to a medium or large sized duffel bag that can be carried over your shoulder, by hand or as a backpack.

Why do I like it?
I like the TAB bag because it expands when you need to carry more gear and when you are finished using it, it collapses into a small bundle. It looks like it would make a terrific extra bag for travel because it doesn’t take up much space when it’s not being used.

With 23 days left in their campaign, The TAB campaign already exceeded their funding goal of $30,000. You can pre-order a TAB starting at $89. After the TAB campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in June 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

A-iEasy™ The Lightest and Thinnest Smartphone Stand Holder.

What is it?
A-iEasy is a low profile and low weight device stand that sticks to the back of your phone.

Why do I like it?
I like that it has a simple design and that it’s very thin so it doesn’t spoil your device by adding too much bulk. The viewing angle is easily adjustable for portrait orientation. Turn the phone over and it works in landscape orientation too.

With 15 days left in their campaign, The A-iEasy campaign already met their funding goal of $53. You can pre-order an A-iEasy starting at $5. After the A-iEasy campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in March 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

The WAVe | Battery-Powered Headphone Case

What is it?
The WAVe is a case for certain Beats and Bose wireless headphones that not only protects the headphones when they aren’t being used, but charges them too.

Why do I like it?
I like the WAVe case because it solves two problems. Wireless headphone storage and wireless headphone charging on the go. The WAVe comes in two versions. The Contour case and the Universal case. The Contour case has been designed for folding headphones like Beats Solo2, Solo3, and Studio headphones, while the Universal case will work with headphones that have been designed to fold flat like Bose QC25, QC35, and Soundlink headphones.

With a month left in their campaign, The WAVe campaign already met their funding goal of $55,000. You can pre-order a WAVe starting at $39. After the WAVe campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in May 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.

Botanium – Grow Edible Greens. Fast and Effortlessly.

What is it?
The Botanium is a self-watering planting system that you can use in your house to grow herbs and vegetables.

Why do I like it?
I like this planter because it looks nice and it does all the work so you don’t have to.  The Botanium doesn’t use soil. It grows plants hydroponically with water, air and a special planting medium that is made of small clay pebbles. The only consumable is the plant medium, but I’m wondering if any type of similarly sized pebbles would work with this system.

With 8 days left in their campaign, The Botanium campaign already met their funding goal of $56,491. You can pre-order a Botanium starting at $60. After the Botanium campaign ends, rewards are estimated to start shipping in July 2017. Visit their Kickstarter page for all the details.
