What do you get when you combine a bunch of triangular shaped LED panels that snap together like LEGO bricks and a smartphone app? You get Nanoleaf Aurora, a LED lighting system that lets you use your creativity to design illuminated shapes for your home. Each LED panel can display one of 16 million colors and the app can schedule time triggers that animate the colors throughout the day. Some examples include turning on the system in the morning to simulate the sun rising or dimming the lights to blue at night to promote relaxation and calm. You’ll also be able to control Aurora with your voice using Siri or an Amazon Echo and Alexa. The Aurora Smarter Kit will retail for $219.99 and will be launching nationwide in Best Buy later this month. You can pre-order the starter kit that includes 9 panels for $199.99 and expansion packs with 3 panels for $59.99 from Nanoleaf.
