Earlier this spring I reviewed the Blink Wire-Free HD Home Monitoring system and since then they’ve gone on to sell over 250,000 of their battery powered security cameras. Today Blink is announcing the addition of a new camera. The Blink XT is an outdoor version of their battery powered camera which features a two-year battery life when used with two off-the-shelf AA lithium batteries. The Blink XT has a weatherproof design and is IP-65 rated to ensure water-resistant. This camera also has infrared night vision unlike their indoor cameras which use a flashlight illuminator.
The Blink XT will be available for pre-order starting today Monday, December 5th for $119 and will ship by February 2017. Also, just in time for the holiday season, they are offering a free Blink XT to customers who purchase a 5 camera system before the end of the year. For more info visit blinkforhome.com and Amazon to order.
