The Mogees sensor will turn a table into a drumkit, a skateboard into a harp, a shovel into a guitar, etc. The sensor is a contact microphone that connects to an iPad or iPhone and creates music from the vibrations within a variety of materials such as woods, metals, plastics, and glass. But it gets even better because the sensor also uses gesture recognition technology that will let you specify how you want to play your “instrument” by recording your own gestures, such as hitting, scratching or striking it in different ways. The Mogees sensor works with their own app as well as other iOS music applications such as Garage band. You can read more about the Mogees sensors at mogees.co.uk and you can buy the Mogees Pro version for $129.99 from Amazon.
